Whitaker Reunion

We had so much fun at the Whitaker reunion this year (as always). I forgot my camera at home, so I don't have photo's to document the fun. Eliana had a great time--there were several activities geared toward the kids. She got her face painted by a real clown (she chose a tinkerbell theme--the clown cleverly turned a butterfly design she does into tinkerbell). The clown later did a magic show and made balloon animal-hats for the kids. She made Eliana a butterfly hat to match her fairy face. Eliana also enjoyed the Country Store and the Fish Pond (annual features of the reunion). This year Tom supplied a blow-up slide/splash pool toy that Eliana LOVED after she got over the initial shock of dealing with rowdy older cousins (she called the mean names, sat in time out a while, then gracefully returned to play). She also won a cake in the cake walk. Christian played some Michael Jackson tunes on his harmonium this year, making his normally impressive performance even more so. William loved wandering around the yard, drinking from other kids' sippy-cups, and popping all the balloon animals he could find. As usual, the time passed too quickly, which in my mind is a definite measure of reunion success.
