Visit from Uncle Ian

We were so lucky to have Ian visit for a few days. Above is a picture of Eliana a few days before Ian came. She was feeling pretty sick. Gratefully, she was better by the time he came. She and Ian have quite a connection. She was so glad to see him (after she warmed up to him). He can make her laugh every time he tries.
We went to Provo to visit Grandma Beth while Ian was in town. It was a lot of fun. Grandma took us to lunch, where we happened to run into Grandpa Duane (Davis)! What a coincidence. We also ran into a man who served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. He had lots of advice for Ian.
We then went back to Grandma's house where we lounged in the shade. Eliana had her first tea-party with Grandma Beth. She had a blast!
She loved stirring the "tea" (orange juice). Isn't that a great tea set?
Eliana also loved pushing around this little buggy at Grandma's house. We all had a good time.

While Ian was here we took advantage of the time and ate at Curry in a Hurry. It was yummy as usual. He came with me to the airport to pick up my friend Karen Munoz (from Chile), and we all went to Lake Powell a day and a half later (more on Karen's visit and the Powell trip later).

Ian headed back to San Diego for combat training. We'll miss him. I'm not sure when we'll get to see him next, but hopefully it won't be too long.
