Eliana wanted her to smile for the picture, so she helped out a bit :) We had a barbecue today at my parents' house (even though they were out of town) to celebrate Ian' birthday. At one point, we were talking about my parents and their finances and Ian said, "Yeah, well, they'd be better off if they'd just get rid of those parasites back there," pointing towards the guest house where Lauren and Jex live. Kim and I said, "well that's rude!" and Lauren exclaimed, "Ian, I'm right here!" He replied, "What? No! I was talking about the horses!" We all had a good laugh about that.
