The Saturday before Easter we went to a local park for an Easter-egg hunt. It was really more of an Easter candy hunt, since the sponsors of the hunt had just hidden candy in the grass sans eggs. I guess it's more eco-friendly that way. The kids didn't seem to mind.
After the hunt, we travelled a few blocks to the annual art festival. I love art festivals, especially when they're free. We had a great time listening to music, eating Navajo Tacos, perusing the five million iterations of red rock themed art, an enjoying the beautiful weather.
We ran into friends from other cities at both events.
That evening we went to the Ranch to visit Darryl's sister and her family. We enjoyed a dinner of bbq chicken, hot dogs and yummy salad...ah, the food of Summer! There were plenty of cousins around to entertain the children, so we actually got some good conversation in too.
On Sunday, we went to my parents' house for Easter dinner and another hunt in the backyard. A good time was had by all. :)
